Brazilian Brown Rice Exports

Brazilian Brown Rice. The volume of Brazilian rice grains sold abroad increased 73.5% in the comparison between the first eight months of 2019 and the same period of 2020. The figures are from the Ministry of Economy and were analyzed by (M) Dados, core of Metrópoles data journalism. Between January and August 2020, 1.153 million tonnes of rice were exported, while in the same months of 2019 the amount was 871,000. In values, this represents US $ 407 million in 2020 and US $ 225 million in the year 2019.

Information About the Brazilian Brown Rice

It has a darker shade due to the fact that it undergoes low grain processing, compared to white rice, allowing a high fiber content that help in reducing abdominal fat and fat cells. Taken from the husk, the grain maintains its bran and germ layer, which concentrates fibers, vitamins and minerals. It is also identified as peeled or unground. It has high nutritional value.

Rich source of fibers, minerals and essential oils, it stimulates the intestine, increases satiety and reduces the absorption of fat by the body.

Process

Since it does not go through the normal industrialization process, brown rice maintains the outer layer of the grain, retaining its main qualities.

Color

It is darker than white, as only the husk is removed from it, maintaining its bran layer. Thus, rice is richer in fiber, protein, iron, phosphorus and calcium, as well as B vitamins.
