Brazilian Parboiled Rice. The volume of Brazilian rice grains sold abroad increased 73.5% in the comparison between the first eight months of 2019 and the same period of 2020. The figures are from the Ministry of Economy and were analyzed by (M) Dados, core of Metrópoles data journalism. Between January and August 2020, 1.153 million tonnes of rice were exported, while in the same months of 2019 the amount was 871,000. In values, this represents US $ 407 million in 2020 and US $ 225 million in the year 2019.
